1. Open an account

Step 1
Click the home page (Open an account)...(Start Application)to get the following page,creat the user name and password, and select the country/region.​
Step 2
Select the account type according to the indivadual needs.
Step 3
Fill in the basic information, including contact information,personal information, please fill in according to your personal situation.
Step 4
Conlocate trading account, select cash account/margin account/portfolio margin, fill in income and assets,investment intention,trading experience, and additional functions.

How to select an account type:
--- Cash account: cannot short stocks or futures; options trading is limited.(Cash account can be upgraded to margin account)
--- Margin account (90% of the people choose): long, short stocks, futures, options, foreign exchange and other products, up to 4 times leverage
--- Portfolio margin account: a minimum requirement of $100,000 in assets, leverage increased to 5-6 times, other functions similar to the margin account
Pay attention to:
Do not fill in the trading experience too conservatively, otherwise it will limit the choice of trading goods.

Read and sign the agreement
Pay attention to:
In this step, you have the opportunity to check whether the information filled in before is correct. If the information is wrong, you can return to modify it. After this step, if you want to modify the information, you can only call the service department to solve the problem.
2.Set trading permissions
Confirm transaction authority
Before making a transaction, determine whether you have the trading permission for the product. If you don't have the trading permission, you can follow the steps below:
Log in to the web version of account management and select (Settings]... [Trading Permissions]


Precautions for selecting transaction permissions
1. Currency Conversion: Select to enable currency exchange.
2. HK/China Stock Connect: Avoid selecting to prevent information reporting to mainland regulators.
3. Leveraged ETFs: Must select to trade leveraged ETFs.
4. Options: High-risk. Contact NEW EIC staff to enable.
5. Mutual Funds: Only for U.S. residents; others will be rejected.
6. European Products: Avoid selecting if not trading in Europe; may require passport info.

If you do not make European products, it is not recommended to tick the European region. According to European Union regulations, the European transaction authority is now opened, and personal passport information may be required.

Option 1: Clone a new account, use the same login password entry as the original, and enter to select an account. After creating a connected account, you can access all accounts with the same login name in the Exchange Workstation TWS, Mobile TWS Mobile Trader, and Client Side Client Portal. You can create any number of new connected accounts. You can log in to Account Management with a set of usernames and passwords, and then select a specific connected account to operate on that account, such as modifying trading permissions or transferring funds internally.
Option 2: Transfer all my cash and positions to an advisor/broker managed account. If I transfer my entire account to an advisor account, I will not be able to log in to Trader Workstation and my current market data subscription will be cancelled. If I transfer my entire account to a broker account, I will still be able to log in to Trader Workstation and my current market data subscription will not be cancelled. Once my account is connected, advisors or brokers may deduct fees from my account and my current active until cancelled (GTC) order will not be cancelled. Account transfers are processed every Friday at 2:00pm.
Option 3: Administrators will be able to access my trading account through the reporting function, including reports.
Option 4 (recommended): My single account will be divided into two partitions; the parent partition will be managed by myself, and the sub-partition will be managed by the following advisors or brokers. Trading permissions from the parent partition will also be applied to the sub-partition, but permissions disabled for advisors or brokers will be removed. I understand that the advisor or hedge fund investment manager cannot enable trading for me in the account he/she manages, while I can still trade through my existing segregated account. After my account is connected, the advisor or broker may deduct fees from my account. New partitions will be opened and open for funding by 6:00 pm on the same business day. Please note that if your new partition request is submitted after 4:00 PM, the partition will be opened and funded by 6:00 PM on the next business day.

• ACH bank transfer: free, 1 working day can start trading. You first need to link your bank account to your surplus account through ACH
• Bank telegraphic transfer: the bank will charge a certain fee, 1 working day can start trading
• Online bill payment: free, 1 to 6 working days to start trading• Mail check: free, the check can start trading 6 working days afterdelivery
• Wise balance transfer: Wise charges for currency exchange, and itcan be traded in just a few hours

​Get transfer instructions(Take a bank wire transfer, for example)


At step 3, you can choose the currency you want to deposit, the transfer reference number is optional, and the sending agency will provide you with a unique identification code. If IN does not have an IBKR account in the wire order or the sender does not fill in the identification information in the wire details, the identification code will be used to process your deposit.

After completing the transfer application, you can complete the transfer according to the information of the bank transfer application
